Time

So unsettled a moment that was,
And so restlessly we hovered.
Some concepts were never cleared;
And sad and happy we lived thus.

Many a words we should not have uttered
Once spoken, they couldn’t be taken back.
But at that time such matters never mattered
And numerous mistakes we did make.

The culprit is time, for it passes on;
We in us the nostalgic feelings hold.
See, the new always replaces the old.
Then, pray, let us not bemoan.

The master is time, for it always teach
To learn, to live, and to believe,
That life is so vast, so beautiful and rich!
What more should time give?

  1. “…What more should time give?…”

    Indeed, what more can time give, if not time.
