My Heart Leaps Up

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.

Poem by William Wordsworth, one of my favourite poets.

  1. He’s one of my favorite poets too! It was nice to meet him here, again, today.

      William Wordsworth was a great poet. I love all of his poems. My favorite is “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud” which is also commonly known as “Daffodils”.

    Mine too. He created effortless imageries of nature.
